Breathing in Breathwork is about: neuroscience, breathwork, and brain health

Ryan Williams life is divided into two life spans: Before Breathwork (BB), and After Breathwork (AB). With Breathing In, Ryan offers free guided breathwork classes and the latest in neuroscience to help people with their brain health.

Breathing In is your at-home breathwork practice.

After working in social media for Disney, Warner Bros., and many tech startups to help spread their stories, Ryan now uses his skills to further his mission: teaching people how to learn breathwork, to let go of stress, trauma, and anxiety. This breathwork class will help you to let go of old behaviors and patterns of thinking. Similar to running a 5K, breathwork could make you light-headed. After this class, journaling ideas that come during breathwork is often a good idea. Drink plenty of water afterwards.

Breathwork helps you to activate your parasympathetic nervous system, helping you to switch into rest-and-digest most, finding calm and safety. While helping you to switch away from fight-or-flight mode from your sympathetic nervous system, we find ourselves living in a modern society. Are you obsessed with social media? Compulsive about checking your work email? Or over-exhausted from being overly online? Then breathwork is for you!

Practice this breathwork to find deep relaxation, calmness, and restfulness throughout your day. Whether it’s in the morning when you wake-up, during a lunch break, before dinner, or at nighttime, breathwork can change your life, even one class can help you.

During this class, you will lay on your back, with new energy going into the body during this ancient pramanyana breathwork, with prana (life force energy) going into your body. One class can be life-changing. You can follow the podcast on iTunes, Spotify, Stitcher, or anywhere else you listen to podcasts.

To practice Breathwork you lay on your back, breathing in a rhythmic breathing pattern. Music is playing in the background, and your goal is to relax your body. It goes like this:

  • Inhale in the chest
  • Inhale in the belly
  • Exhale it all out

You breathe in two deep inhales. First in the belly, then in the chest. Then you exhale it all out. It’s a lot of fun.
